Photo Gallery FAQs

You can either upload your photo directly from your computer, or, if it's already uploaded onto the internet somewhere, enter the URL into the Add to Photo Gallery. The photo should be in JPG or GIF format and not too large (maximum 200,000 bytes). After uploading, a normal-sized version as well as a thumbnail (for pages with smaller photo views) will be saved to the Photo Gallery.

If you have a photo that's not saved in either JPG or GIF format, you can use almost any picture editing program to convert it into JPG Or GIF. Open your photo and then choose "JPG or GIF" under "File" --> "Save as."

Not only can you upload your picture from your computer, but you can also upload your photo from an internet server as well. Just enter the URL address of your photo in the "Web URL" box. This box is an alternative to the Upload box, where you have to input the path of the photo--that is, where it's been saved on your hard drive. This means that you should only use one of the two boxes to upload your photo.

Since your photo has now been permanently saved in the knuddels.com photo gallery, it means you will still be able to see the photo on Knuddels even if it's removed from the original website where you uploaded it from.

On the bottom portion of your photo site you'll find a link that will allow you to edit your photos, as well as their captions, comments and ratings. Just like before, you can select another file from your computer, or enter a new web-URL.

No. With the administrative link on your photo site, you can edit captions as well as turn the settings for ratings and comments on and off without re-uploading your photo.

Of course! Just go to the administrative site for your photos, click on the X to delete your photo and confirm your selection by clicking on OK. Your photo will be permanently removed from the photo gallery. You can upload a new photo at any time. However, the comments and ratings for your old photo will be lost and irretrievable.

You will find the URL for your photo on the administrative site of your photo, under "Information." In addition, you can get the URL of a photo just by right-clicking on the picture, and selecting "copy image location."
